Alhamdulilah by the permission of Allah we were able to reach our fundraising goal to help support Shariff, Bakol, and Taslim Mohamed. Shariff’s precious, two-year-old daughter, Taslim, was admitted to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Randall Children’s Hospital after mysterious symptoms that came on suddenly and after imaging, it was determined that Taslim had an advanced and aggressive form of brain cancer. Northwest Dawah Foundation volunteers including one of our trained volunteer Islamic chaplains responded to the hospital to provide support and comfort for the Mohamed family and we initiated a fundraiser with a goal of $10,000 to help provide immediate financial support. With the support of partner Muslim nonprofits and many individuals including Senator Kayse Jama, the goal was quickly reached. In fact, we exceeded the $10,000 goal and raised over $11,000 Allahu Akbar! Having reached our goal, we closed the fundraiser, transferred the funds to the family and additional crowdfunding efforts are being coordinated by Stephanie Stephens. We ask our supporters to keep Taslim Mohamed and her family in your dua and if you can, support one of the continuing support opportunities, including a new GoFundMe, and you can stay up to date with the family here.

May Allah reward all the donors and bring ease and comfort to Shariff, Bakol and their daughter Taslim.
