At Northwest Dawah Foundation, we are dedicated to the success of our local Muslim community through our Community Care program, which includes initiatives like Community Chaplaincy and Baitulmaal, among others.

Community Chaplaincy

At Northwest Dawah Foundation, we have a dedicated volunteer Muslim community chaplain with formal training in Islamic Chaplaincy, Islamic Counseling, Islamic Finance, and other Islamic Sciences. Our chaplain actively serves the community, addressing the religious needs of Muslims in various settings.

In jails and prisons across Oregon and Southwest Washington, our chaplain provides essential support to incarcerated Muslims. This includes professional visits to offer comfort, discuss individual religious needs, and provide spiritual guidance. In hospitals, our chaplain meets with Muslims during some of the most challenging moments of their lives, offering religious support to individuals and families. We also work closely with hospital staff chaplains, training and advising them on Islamic religious practices and ensuring the availability of halal meal options for Muslim patients.

Baitulmaal

Through our Baitulmaal Program, we offer sadaqah (charitable giving) as funds allow, aiming to fill gaps in the local Muslim safety net. This program prioritizes support for converts, complementing our New Muslim Support efforts to ensure that all community members receive the assistance they need.
